Hotel Chile España

Just a general hangout area with a log fire for winter. Notice the all the surfy stickers on the door

These stairs lead down to the patio, a great place for hanging out in Summer. Such is the fame of the town for surfers that they have a rack for your surfboards here. This is also the way to the dining area and bar on the lower floor (to the left).

This hallway had many rooms leading onto it. I loved how it was decorated.

These are the stairs leading up to our (double) bedroom. There was a cool carving on the door. No idea where it is from.

This was our room at the hotel. Obviously a double bed and the bathroom just around the corner (See photo below). The bed was incredibly comfortable and we both slept like logs.

I thought this little area was quite nice. It comes from the bedroom and leads into the (smallish) bathroom to the left. The shower was great with its hot water coming on instantly (which isn't always the case in Chile).

Other Comments

Positive - The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. It is centrally located, within welcome distance to most places, just a block or two from the beach (called Playa Las Terrazas). The hotel is in general just a great place to hang out.
Negative - The only downside for us to do with this hotel was that there was no off-street parking. We had to leave our car out the front on the street.

There is a large Plaza (square) called Plaza Arturo Prat on the next block towards the beach.

Having stayed there (January 2010), we would recommend Hotel Chile España in Pichilemu.
