Ski Rental
SKITOTAL offers ski and gear rental, including pants, gloves, goggles and childrens' gear. They also have snowboards and boots for rental at the same price. Pants and other extra gear cannot be purchased at SKITOTAL, but they can help you out if you are looking to buy skis or snowboards.
With skis you have the possibility between choosing the regular gear or high performance skis.
Transport
SKITOTAL has trips leaving daily to El Colorado, La Parva, and Valle Nevado ski centers.
They also send up buses twice weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) to El Portillo ski center, only an extra half hour away.
Buses load up as soon as they are full so that's why we highly recommend that skiers arrive as early as possible on ski day to the SKITOTAL center. The earlier your arrival the sooner you will begin the ascent up the mountain.
Guests must meet the bus driver in the predetermined location again at 5 o'clock when all of the ski resorts close.
If sharing a bus isn't your personal style, you can also opt for VIP treatment and take your own personal transportation, either in mini bus or personal ski taxi.
Services can also include picking you up directly from the airport, or trips to and from your hotel.
Tours
They also offer a collection of other packages, some especially set up for backpackers, including everything you need. Different tours go from the 3 day backpacker package to a week long stay in one of the ski resorts with ski rental.
Other tours include: Santa Cruz and the vineyards of the Colchagua Valley, Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, a city tour of Santiago, and a trip to Isla Negra and Pomaire.
You can purchase your ski lift tickets through SKITOTAL as well.
How to Get There
Take the metro to Metro Escuela Militar on Line 1 (the main line). Exit the metro walking up Av. Apoquindo towards the Mountains. After a 5-minute walk you will reach SKITOTAL, located in a shopping center on the left hand side of the road. They are outside the mall on the ground level, so keep your eyes peeled.
