We will leave Santiago early in the morning and head towards El Cajón del Maipo where we will take the road to the San Gabriel sector. Once we have entered the canyon we will be able to appreciate the surrounding countryside of mountains and green grass, and a beautiful view of the Andes. During the spring it is possible to see condors flying at a great height in search of food and there have also been sightings of pumas in the area.

Upon arrival at San Gabriel we will have coffee and a snack, and then have a safety briefing about how to control the horses. We will then start our horseback adventure, accompanied by an expert horse handler and our guide, both of whom will be able to share with you their vast knowledge of the region.

We will be able to enjoy the fresh air and wonderful natural setting of the canyon, looking out for the native flora and fauna, admiring the spectacular view of snowy mountains. We will pause for an energizing lunch before continuing our ride in the afternoon. Later we will return to Santiago.
