This adventure offers you a unique and exciting experience, where your effort will be rewarded with an amazing adrenalin rush and some stunning views of the canyon.
We will leave Santiago early in the morning and head towards El Cajón del Maipo where we will meet the rafting team. They will give us our gear and a safety brief to prepare us for the descent. The Alto Maipo is a 24 km descent with class III - IV rapids depending on the water levels.
We will spend the morning rafting and afterwards we will head to San Gabriel to enjoy a delicious country barbecue in between a wonderful setting before returning to Santiago.
When: From September to April, subject to weather and river conditions
Where: El Cajón del Maipo
Duration: Full Day
Equipment: Comfortable clothes and shoes, hat, sun block, sunglasses, swimsuit, change of clothes.
Includes: Transport, bilingual guide, barbecue.
Timing:
- 09:30: Pick up at the hotel
- 10:30: Security Instruction for rafting
- 11:30: Rafting
- 14:00: Arriving to el Melocotón
- 15:00: Chilean Barbecue
- 17:00: Return to Santiago
