A Chunk of Chile with a Dash of South America

Living and travelling in South America from our base in Chile since 1997. I have personally experienced the extremes here, living in a shed without a bathroom in a poor dangerous part of town to the other extreme of having an elegant dinner with the President at the palace. This blog is about things that I have done or that have caught my attention here as well as travel information that may be useful.

Puerto Montt

We have just got back from a three-day information gathering trip to Puerto Montt in the South of Chile.

It was a lot of hard work running around like headless chickens trying to get as much done as possible in a short amount of time but we have finally produced the following page: Puerto Montt. We are yet to add the photos and the maps and we will also go into more detail about the touristy Angelmó (will create a seperate page for it) and more info about places to stay and eat. But at least you will be able to get an idea of how our pages about different places and cities will be presented in the future. There is a lot more information that Spanish students at Woodward Chile (in Santiago) can access which contains the questionnaires and interview reports we have completed having talked to / interviewed LOTS of people about what they have to offer.

We were fortunate to stay at Hotel Club Presidente during the stay (we highly recommend it) which is centrally located and has spectacular views. You can find more information on the page we created about our experience there.

Hope you enjoy them!
