A Chunk of Chile with a Dash of South America

Living and travelling in South America from our base in Chile since 1997. I have personally experienced the extremes here, living in a shed without a bathroom in a poor dangerous part of town to the other extreme of having an elegant dinner with the President at the palace. This blog is about things that I have done or that have caught my attention here as well as travel information that may be useful.

Two-week visit

Over the last two weeks we have been visiting a lot of places and have a lot of new notes (information) about Santiago and surrounding areas in Chile. My sister came to visit from New Zealand so we made sure we did as much as possible in those couple of weeks (for example yesterday we went snowboarding up in the Andes and now I have a sunburnt face with racoon eyes from where the sunglasses were). We also have some updated information on El Cajón del Maipo and Pomaire and loads of photos from many other places, including recommendations of numerous restaurants that we indulged at (with their average prices).
She goes today so next week you will start to see new stuff.
Saludos
