A Chunk of Chile with a Dash of South America

Living and travelling in South America from our base in Chile since 1997. I have personally experienced the extremes here, living in a shed without a bathroom in a poor dangerous part of town to the other extreme of having an elegant dinner with the President at the palace. This blog is about things that I have done or that have caught my attention here as well as travel information that may be useful.

Talca and Surrounding Areas

We have been in and around Talca (South of Chile) since Sunday and will be heading back to Santiago on Friday(ish). This is to let you know we have taken loads of photos and for the first time made concious effort to capture videos (via our normal digital camera) of things that may be of interesting.
We have made the effort to visit little, out of the way villages and towns and we have most of the regions covered even though we still have a couple of days left.

Some of the places you will learn about and see photos/videos of are Talca (obviously), Curepto, San Javier, Villa Alegre, Yerbas Buenas, Linares, Consitución, Huilquilemu and many more whose name I have forgotten though have written down somewhere in my notes.

All of this travelling is why I haven't had time to write in the Blog... just you wait for next week!

So where are all the photos of Talca and surroundings. How about some insightful and intelligent commentary about the city, countryside, people, and so on. There's so little good information out there.
